Element & Weakness Guide: Mastering Elemental Combat
Updated: Mar 1, 2026
Deep dive into Endfield's elemental system — learn how element reactions, weaknesses, and team synergies work.
## Elemental System Overview
Every character and enemy in Arknights: Endfield belongs to one of five elements. Understanding how these interact is crucial for endgame content.
## The Five Elements
### Physical
- **Strong against**: No specific advantage
- **Weak against**: No specific weakness
- **Notes**: Neutral element with consistent damage. Great for general content.
### Electric
- **Strong against**: Cryo, Nature
- **Reaction**: Overcharge — Deals AoE burst damage
- **Top Characters**: Arclight, Perlica, Avywenna, Antal
### Cryo
- **Strong against**: Heat, Nature
- **Reaction**: Shatter — Reduces enemy defense
- **Top Characters**: Estella, Xaihi, Last Rite, Snowshine, Yvonne
### Heat
- **Strong against**: Cryo, Nature
- **Reaction**: Meltdown — Deals damage over time
- **Top Characters**: Laevatain, Ember, Wulfgard, Akekuri
### Nature
- **Strong against**: Electric, Physical
- **Reaction**: Overgrowth — Healing and shield effects
- **Top Characters**: Ardelia, Fluorite, Gilberta
## Team Composition by Element
### Mono-Element Teams
Running 3+ characters of the same element triggers a team bonus. This is effective for content where you know the enemy weakness.
### Dual-Element Teams
The most flexible approach. Pair two elements that complement each other:
- **Electric + Cryo**: Superconduct reaction for massive burst
- **Heat + Nature**: Sustain-focused with DoT and healing
- **Physical + Any**: Safe and versatile
## Boss Weakness Chart
Most bosses have a primary weakness element. Check the enemy intel screen before battle to see their weaknesses and plan your team accordingly.
## Tips for Elemental Mastery
1. Always bring at least one character that matches the boss weakness
2. Element reactions deal bonus damage — trigger them frequently
3. Supporters can apply elements without being on the field
4. Weapon passives can add elemental damage to Physical characters
